*Men's, Women's & Mixed Retreats Available
Allow the mental fog to lift at Little Kennisis Lake.
Emerge feeling clearer and more aligned with your purpose.
Take your time getting here.
Take the whole day. Loop back around if you've missed a fruit stand you want to check out on the way up. Yes - take that extra twenty minutes. Or perhaps you want a picture on the giant Muskoka chair at the lake country souvenir shop. Slow down and do the things you don't get to do. Run with inspiration and trust yourself. Our start time is flexible. We know you're coming and look forward to hearing the stories of your way up - somehow there is always at least one!
You know the formula,
the formula to get you feeling like yourself again, out of the haze of life's chaos. You've felt wafts of clarity in and out of the formula throughout your life, but have never quite put it together. "I feel off," you say.
You're a leader and generally love helping others, but can neglect yourself at times and may feel exhausted, or worse perhaps, apathetic. Life is okay, even good generally - but something is missing. You can feel it and it's affecting those around you now. You have enough self awareness to know it's time to explore what it is.
Before the curiosity of the feeling turns to overwhelm, make it easy on yourself -- hop in the car and drive a few hours north of Toronto. Arrive to effortlessly implement the formula. The formula to feel like you again, to feel alive. You're practical and efficient and love repeatable strategies. You love the formula.
So, what is the formula?
Connection... connect with yourself, an intimate group of three like minded others, a trained nonjudgmental facilitator who is there for you, the healing waters of Little Kennisis Lake and the lush Haliburton Forest that breathes life back into you.
How does that sound?
Did you just release a deep sigh of relief?
That's the one -- that's the feeling that will empower you to move with clarity when you return to life. The feeling that manifests with the allowing of the formula. Tried and tested.
Bring a book if you like, but let it be light. If you do nothing more than simply sit in this space, wrapped by the trees and the lake, you will feel more revitalized. A kaleidoscope of options are here to help you relax.
I had a wonderful experience, yoga, journaling, meditation with an awesome group of ladies. Feeling so refreshed & so grateful to have stumbled across this amazing place!!!
Highly recommend 10/10.

Following a day of optional kayaking and group connection led by a professional coach, hang your paddle at a quaint lakeside cottage.
Meticulously tailored bedrooms in this efficient space, because who doesn't love a good bed. One double accommodation room with two beds and two private rooms. Shared bath with three other participants and the facilitator. Expansive deck for optional lakeside yoga and dining. The beautifully renovated kitchen and living space is where comfort meets practicality. The 111 stairs on the property are great for views (and exercise)! This intimate space is reserved for our retreat, and our retreat only. Be open to meeting three strangers or bring along some friends of your own. Inquire if you don't see the date you're looking for as exclusive private retreats are available.
Morning coffee tastes better when sitting on the dock
If you listen carefully, you can hear the fish jumping out of the water. Daily sunset boat cruises tooting around Lil' Kennisis while the warm evening breeze lightly blows across your face. Optional hikes in the thick forest. Many nooks and crannies to explore. Swimming (or cold plunging depending on the time of year) in some of the cleanest water you can find. Perhaps a moonlit skinny dip. Purify your soul.
Fireside community chats are perfectly balanced with sacred personal time in silence for reflection. Engage with the mastermind of human beings you find yourself with or spend time alone hammocked in the trees. Or... a combination of the two. Country Cabin Yoga and Retreats has no interest in being yet another voice telling you what to do. The choice is yours.
What an incredible experience! Nothing but positive, loving, healing and accepting vibes with true, raw energy! Carrie is such an amazing soul for sharing her energy and positive vibes! Her space is so welcoming and comfortable that all intentions for your practice fall easily into play. I could not have asked for a better afternoon! Felt amazing to truly practice some much needed self love. Am so glad to have come across this wonderful place and this wonderful human!
Thank you again Carrie, will be seeing you soon! Namaste ❤️

Slicing the calm waters of Little Kennisis Lake in Ontario's expansive lake country with your kayak paddle is the signature experience for this particular event.
As my 6 year old son regularly expresses when returning from the middle of the bay from his paddle, "it's so peaceful out there." Two, two hour kayak trips are included on this retreat. Feel the dichotomy of the cool morning mist rolling across your face just as the warm sun hits you. Kayaks can go where other boats cannot, so exploring the still crevasses and incredible Canadian Shield granite rock face of this majestic lake become accessible. To the shoreline, you catch sight of a blue heron, deer, even the rare otter or moose. In the distance, you hear the unforgettable call of the loon. Suitable for most fitness levels. Consider this part of the experience to be "meandering."
Not all who wander are lost.
Five star meals curated by a professional chef.
Wherever possible, the food is cultivated from the rich Ontario soil, notoriously known for its quality farmland. Crispy fresh vegetables, melt in your mouth proteins, healthy alternatives to sugary desserts. It's simply food that makes you go "mmm" (and your body secretly thanks you too).
An experience free from alcohol, decadent organic teas, coffee and a signature event specific mocktail will surely quench your thirst. Nourish your body.
County Cabin is an amazing way to escape, reflect, relax and just simply regroup. My experience was more than just yoga, it was a chance to just let go, and it was perfect in this warm, and comforting space. Carrie was very welcoming and extremely easy to be around. She really makes you feel like…. you can be you, and reflects no judgment at all. I would highly recommend trying this retreat in such a beautiful oasis.
On a scale out of 10. I would give it 20

Meet your host, Carrie
I fulfilled my mother's dream of owning a lake property in 2012.
For ten wonderful years, we enjoyed watching her grandchildren, my sons, grow before she passed in 2023.
The Watts Road lake property on Little Kennisis Lake became a place where two dreams merged: my mother's desire for family connection by the lake and my passion for helping others find fulfillment. Despite almost being lost in divorce, the property survived, serving its purpose.
I believe in the healing power of silence, nature, and nonjudgmental human connection. It's my purpose to provide myself and others with this sanctuary. As a professional leadership coach, I assist individuals, groups, and teams in discovering their passions. I'm known for my attentive listening and skill in asking meaningful questions.
Yoga played a transformative role in my life, leading me to become a teacher. I incorporate yoga into my retreats for its ability to ground participants in the present moment. Combining coaching, mindfulness, and yoga at my Ontario lake house is a true blessing. In a busy world, retreats are my chance to have fun with participants while exploring this majestic space. I can't wait to meet you at the lake!
